Aura Smart Air Ltd. (“Aura“, “us“, “our“, or “we“) recognizes and respects the importance of maintaining the privacy of our users and, as a result, we have established this Privacy Notice. If not otherwise defined herein, capitalized terms have the meaning given to them in the Aura Terms of Service (“Terms“) available at This Privacy Notice explains the types of information we collect from you when you register to use the Services provided through the Device(s) and how we may use, transfer, store, and disclose the information collected, as well as your ability to control certain uses of the collected information.

Information We Collect

Personal Information” means any information that refers, is related to, or is associated with an identified or identifiable individual or as otherwise may be defined by applicable law.

We collect Personal Information from you when you register an account (as an Administrator or as a User) to use the Services, when you sign up for newsletters or our email lists or contact us for any other reason. Examples of the Personal Information that we collect from you when you register an account as an Administrator include: information you provide us, such as your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, credit card details, title and, where applicable, your company’s name. If you are a User, we will collect your name, email address and phone number, as provided to us by the Administrator and any additional information you provide. If you are an Emergency Contact, we will collect your name and phone number as provided by the Administrator.

In configuring your Device(s) to your needs, you may provide certain information related to allergies or other health-related information. If you do provide any such information, you consent to, or represent that you have obtained the consent of the relevant individual for the processing of any such information.

In addition, when you use the Services, certain information may be automatically gathered such as information about your operating system, geo-location, purchase information and data from sensors in the Device(s).

It is your voluntary decision whether to provide us with certain Personal Information, but if you refuse to provide such information we will not be able to complete your account registration and/or provide you with any Services.

How We Use Your Information


We and any of our third party subcontractors and/or service providers may use the information we collect from and about you for any of the following purposes: (1) to provide you with the App, Device(s) and/or the Services; (2) respond to your inquiries or requests, to contact and alert you and any other users when necessary; (3) develop new products or services and conduct analyses to improve our current Device(s) and/or Services; (4) use your data in an aggregated, non-specific format for analytical purposes (as detailed below); (5) prevent fraud, protect the security of our Services, and address any problems with the Services; and (6) to provide you with informational newsletters and promotional materials related to our Services.

Statistical Information

By analyzing all information we receive, including all information concerning users, we may compile statistical information across a variety of platforms and users (“Statistical Information“). Statistical Information helps us understand trends and users’ needs so that the Device(s) and/or Services can be improved and tailored to our users’ desires. Statistical Information is anonymous and aggregated. We may share such Statistical Information with our partners, without restriction, on commercial terms we can determine at our sole discretion.


We may use analytics tools (“Tools“) including “Google Analytics” to collect information about the use of the Services. Such tools collect information such as how often Administrators and/or Users use the App, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to using the App. The Tools may collect certain Personal Information and may link such Personal Information to specific information stored in the databases we use. We may also provide non-Personal Information that we receive to the Tools. We use the information we get from the Tools to improve our App, Device(s), and Services. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the App is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use located at and the Google Privacy Policy located at

Other Uses or Transfer of Your Information

We allow you to use the Device(s) and Services in connection with third-party services, sites, and/or mobile applications, including other “smart” appliances in your household or workplace. If you use our Services with or through such third-parties, we may receive information (including Personal Information) about you from those third parties. Please note that when you use third-parties outside of our Services, including, but not limited to, “smart” appliances which you may connect your Device(s) to, their own terms and privacy policies will (continue to) govern your use of those services.

Disclosure of Personal Information

You acknowledge that we may share your information, including Personal Information, as follows:

Business Partners, Service Providers, Affiliates, and Subcontractors

We may disclose information, including Personal Information we collect from and/or about you, to our trusted service providers, business partners, affiliates, subsidiaries and subcontractors, who may use such information to help us provide you with the Services and aid in their understanding of how users are using our Services.

We may use subcontractors and service providers who are located in countries other than your own and send them information we receive (including Personal Information). All of our subcontractors and service providers will be subject to non-disclosure and non-use obligations.

Business Transfers

We may transfer our databases containing your Personal Information if we sell our business or part of it, including in cases of liquidation. Information about our users, including Personal Information, may be disclosed as part of, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets or acquisition and shall continue being subject to the provisions of this Privacy Notice.

Law Enforcement Related Disclosure

We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity, behavior or digital content of any user suspected to have engaged in illegal or infringing behavior. We may also share your Personal Information with third parties if we believe in good faith that disclosure is appropriate to protect our rights, property or safety (including the enforcement of the Terms and this Privacy Notice) or to protect the rights, property or safety of third parties. We may use your Personal Information as required or permitted by any applicable law.

How We Protect Your Information

We make efforts to follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to and collected by us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.


A cookie is a small piece of text that is sent to a user’s browser. The browser provides this piece of text to the device of the user when this user returns. We use cookies on Aura’s website for a number of reasons, for example, in order to (i) help personalize your experience by helping save your settings and customizations across visits; (ii) for the functionality and security of our website; and (iii) for analytics purposes. Use of the App, Device(s), and/or Services may involve linking to or using web applications or services belonging to third parties, including without limitation, payment processors, and other “smart” appliances. We have no control over third-party applications or services, and all use of third-party applications or services is at your own risk. Additionally, we cannot accept responsibility for any payments processed or submitted through such third-party applications and/or services, or for the privacy policies of any such applications and/or services. We are not responsible for content or available by means of such applications and/or services. We do not endorse any products or offered by third parties and we urge our users to exercise caution in using third-party applications and/or services.


We may send you e-mail or other messages about us or our products and services, including Premium Features. You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from commercial messages in any such e-mail or message we send.

Please note that we reserve the right to send you service related communications, including service announcements, administrative messages and push notifications relating either to your Device(s) and/or your registered account without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.

Data Retention

We retain information as necessary for the purposes set forth above. We may delete information from our systems, without notice to you, once we deem it is no longer necessary for the purposes set forth above.


We do not knowingly collect personally-identifiable information from or market our Device(s) and/or Services to children. In the event that you become aware that an individual under the age of 16 has registered an account without parental permission, please advise us immediately.


We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time and we encourage you to review the Privacy Notice periodically to make sure you are familiar with the latest version. By continuing to use the App, Device(s), and/or the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised privacy notice.
